The National Executive Branch has made official today (09.12.2024), the Removal of attorney Florencia Lucila Misrahi from her position as Executive Director of the Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA). The decision was formalized through the publication of the Decree 1078 / 2024 in the Official Gazette.
At the same event, the resignation of lawyer Juan Alberto Pazo from the position of Secretary of Production Coordination of the Ministry of Economy was accepted. Likewise, the Executive Branch appointed Pazo as new Executive Director of ARCA, an autonomous body dependent on the Ministry of Economy, with the objective of completing the corresponding legal period. This designation represents a new change in the management of the agency, which has the mission of ensuring the control and collection of customs duties in the country.
It should be remembered that Decree No. 1156/96 established the creation of the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) as an autonomous entity under the Ministry of Economy and Public Works and Services, as a result of the merger of the General Tax Directorate and the then National Customs Administration. Subsequently, Decree No. XNUMX/XNUMX established the creation of the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) as an autonomous entity under the Ministry of Economy and Public Works and Services, as a result of the merger of the General Tax Directorate and the then National Customs Administration.Secret No. 953/24 ordered the dissolution of the AFIP and the creation of the Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA), also as an autonomous entity under the Ministry of Economy.
In accordance with article 3 of said decree, lawyer Juan Alberto Pazo was appointed as Executive Director of ARCA, with a four-year terms, to complete the established legal period, as indicated.
