Officials from the Ministry of Security and the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights received authorities from the Chilean Investigative Police (PDI) on Tuesday (19.2.2019), to work on joint strategies and exchange experiences in the fight against drug trafficking.
Zero Microtrafficking Plan
Chaired by the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, the meeting was attended by Subprefect Mauro Mercado, National Coordinator of the PDI's Zero Microtrafficking Plan; accompanied by Prefect Jaime Ansieta, a senior PDI officer and Head of the Interpol Regional Office for South America.
Vulnerable neighborhoods
Bullrrich shared the work that has been carried out in the last three years in Argentina, in the dismantling of criminal organizations dedicated to drug trafficking and the comprehensive work developed with territorial intervention programs in vulnerable neighborhoods with high rates of social conflict.
The meeting, organized by the National Directorate of International Security Cooperation, headed by Gastón Schulmeister, also included the participation of the Secretary of Security, Eugenio Burzaco; the head of the General Coordination Unit, Gerardo Milman; the Secretary of Cooperation with Constitutional Powers, Pablo Noceti; and other authorities specialized in the matter.
Also present were the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Nation, Martin Casares, who was accompanied by other representatives of that Ministry.
