Argentina incorporates extension of special Mercosur regimes

The Government of Argentina incorporated into its internal regulations the Decisions of the Council of the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) Nos. 8, 11 and 12, all from December 13, 2021, referring to the extension of special regimes, through the Decree 310 / 2021.

Thus the regulations, published this Friday (31.12.2021), extend the national exception list until 2028 (Preparations and preserves of peaches and dairy products and toys).

Likewise, for the Importation of goods and telecommunications goods with reduced tariffs it is amplified until 2030.

The possibility of adopting specific actions in the tariff field derived from the international situation is also extended until 2028, through which a temporary increase in the Common External Tariff (CET) up to WTO bound levels and for a period of time, up to 100 tariff items.

The deadline for the use of some regimes in MERCOSUR expired in 2021.

This Decree comes into force on January 1, 2022 and consists of six Annexes that can be consulted in the same regulation.
