The Ministry of Agroindustry of the Nation reported that the new beekeeping traceability system (SITA), developed by the Secretariat of Food and Bioeconomy, Senasa and the Ministry of Modernization, is operational to simplify processes, de-bureaucratize procedures, and highlight the origin and quality of the traced honey before international markets.
During a first stage of testing the use will be voluntary until its mandatory nature is formalized: To access, the beekeeper must join the system through the website Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP) and have an extraction room enabled and registered in the Senasa single registration system.
When does traceability begin?
Traceability starts at the room honey extraction with declaration of origin and the number of supers arriving from the apiary, which belong to a beekeeper with a valid RENAPA. Then, the information from the extraction room movement book is requested to be uploaded to the computer system.

The requirements for using the system, in addition to having CUIT/CUIL and tax code grade 2 or higher, are as follows:
Be registered or updated in the National Registry of Beekeeping Producersas the sRENAPA online system, self-managed or through the usual channels (province, municipality, beekeeping associations, which are authorized to carry out the procedure).
Possess the extraction room enabled according to ExSAGyP Resolution No. 870/06 and registered in the Senasa Single Registration System (Senasa Resolution No. 515/16).
