The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation, through the Resolution No. 259/2021 Published this Friday (03.12.2021) in the Official Gazette, distributed the extra quota for raw sugar exports to the United States reassigned by this country for the 2020-2021 commercial cycle, which reaches a total of 1.555,7 tonnes .
For the period ending on September 30, the United States set a quota of 45.281 tons, which, after deducting the polarization margin, amounted to 43.243,3 tons, already distributed in September 2020 by the national agricultural portfolio.
Meanwhile, on November 3, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) officially reassigned the import tariff quota for raw sugar for fiscal year 2021, and Argentina benefited from an extra 1.929 t, which after deducting said margin totals 1.555,7 t, which is completed today.
According to information provided by the Undersecretariat of Agricultural Markets, the The expansion of the export quota included the signaturess Ledesma, with 493,11 tons; Concepción Sugar Complex, 329,82 tons; Prosal, 185,50 tons; José Minetti, 143,91 tons; Industrial Investment Company, 129,37 tons; Arcor, 91,70 tons; Rio Grande Sugar Mill, 59,66 tons; Los Balcanes Sugar Company, 40,68 tons; Delotte, 24,10 tons; Salta Soft Drinks, 19,08 tons; Ferma Agrobusiness, 15,28 tons; San Jeronimo Sugar Mill, 12,23 tons; Siempre Verde, 4,43 tons; Argenbio, 3,51 tons and Carrizo, Archimedes Ramon Teodoro, 3,51 tons.
Such tons mentioned must enter the United States before December 31, 2021, according to the regulations of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
