Lack of traceability
During a phytosanitary inspection at the Puerto Iguazú entry point, Senasa agents confirmed the inCompliance in traceability, identification and documentation of the merchandise entered.
“It is important to highlight that, within the framework of the phytosanitary procedure for cucurbit fruits agreed with Brazil, the fruit must come from authorized production units by the Brazilian Agency, identified and covered by the corresponding phytosanitary certificate," highlighted the coordinator of the Plant Quarantine Directorate of Senasa, Elena Gatti.
In this sense, the shipments were rejected and sealed at the border and then the cargo was transferred to the premises of the Buenos Aires Central Market Corporation for its dconstruction.
