The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries made official this Friday (20.12.2024/3.650/2025) the distribution of the tariff quota of XNUMX tons of peanut paste destined for the United States market for the year XNUMX. The measure was established by the Resolution 124 / 2024, published in the Official Gazette.
According to the regulation: "The quantity of THREE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FIFTY tons (3.650 t.) of the 'Peanut Paste' tariff quota shall be distributed, which must enter the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA between January 1 and December 31, 2025."
The 3.650 tons were allocated among the following: national companies in accordance with the provisions of the Resolution:
- General Deheza SA/Niza SA Oil Company: 1.951,84 tons.
- Argen Peanuts SA: 53,35 tons.
- JL SA: 650,08 tons.
- Lorenzati Ruetsch and Co. SA: 51,00 tons.
- NUTRIN SA: 178,03 tons.
- PRODEMAN SA: 367,73 tons.
- Entrenuts SRL: 51,78 tons.
- BRO SRL: 51,00 tons.
- Latinut SA: 51,00 tons.
- Manisel SA: 244,19 tons.
With this allocation, the Government seeks to guarantee a distribution of the quota granted within the framework of bilateral trade relations with the United States, supported by the Memorandum of Understanding as a result of the Uruguay Round.
