In the framework of the meeting of the Free Trade Administrative Commission of the Commercial Protocol, prior to the XIII Summit of Presidents of the Pacific Alliance in Puerto Vallarta (Mexico), the representatives of the customs of the member countries signed the Mutual Recognition Arrangement of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Programs, the first regional instrument of this type in the world.
The objective of this commitment is Strengthen OAS programs in each country, increase private sector participation in them, streamline the procedures for commercial operations before the control authorities, among others.
In line with the trade facilitation policy, the aim is for AEOs recognised in each country to receive the same preferential treatment in the other member states of the mechanism.
