The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) has ordered the simplification of procedures and the optimization of controls in the Value Added Tax (VAT) refund system for exporters, whose Full implementation will come into effect from July 1
This is established by the General Resolution 5173/2022, published this Monday (28.03.20229/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette. In this regard, the tax collection agency explained that the changes will facilitate the processing of requests for accreditation, transfer and/or refund of the tax benefit, and that they will improve the capacity for coordination and control between the different agencies of the national public sector in terms of income and settlement of the foreign currency that gives rise to tax benefits.
The unification of the SIR complements the changes implemented on the refund mechanisms in March 2021, when the agency established that subjects requesting VAT refunds for exports had to present the documentation required by the Tax Planning Information Regime and also comply with the obligations established by the Central Bank regarding the entry and settlement of foreign currency, among other requirements.
The AFIP said that "The implementation of the SIR will be carried out in stages and will fully replace the current regulations as of July 1." Thus, this resolution provides that the service will be "Enabled from April 2022 so that interested parties can interact with the system and prepare draft applications, without accepting their submission.the agency».-
