The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) today (24.08.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX) ordered the extension of the special validity period of 90 days for official export applications for products covered by the Export Increase Program, through the General Resolution 5406/2023.
The Export Increase Program for Regional Economies is an "extraordinary and transitory" measure created by Decree No. 576/2022 with the aim of strengthening the reserves of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic and stimulating the generation of genuine income for the National State.
To this end, Decree 194/2023 of April 9 reestablished the Export Increase Program for Soybeans and Derivatives, and was extended to regional economies, the main complexes incorporated being the wine-growing, olive-growing, bee-growing, fishing, forestry-industrial, wool, legumes, garlic, tea, peanut, tobacco, lemon, plum, popcorn, fine fruits, nuts, confectionery sunflower, mandarins, oranges, rice, blueberries, pears and apples, onion, kiwi, grapefruit. Also sorghum, fodder barley and sunflower and their main derivatives, such as oil and flour.
The requirements For all products from regional economies, those interested in accessing the benefits of the program must have exported the merchandise at some point in the 18 months immediately prior to the entry into force of decree 194, as well as assuming the commitment to maintain or increase the number of jobs.
They must also commit to supplying the local market with these goods, maintaining or increasing the supply volumes recorded in the 18 months prior to the validity of the aforementioned decree.
Finally, they will have to comply with the Fair Prices program or the price agreements for the local market established in this regard by the Ministry of Commerce.
The special period of validity of this Resolution comes into effect effective immediately.
