The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) issued the General Resolution 5114/2021 through which it proceeded to delimit and enable the properties in the Primary Customs Zones Alba Posse, Colonia Aurora, El Soberbio and Panambí, under the jurisdiction of the Oberá Customs Division, located in the province of Misiones (northeast).

The regulations, published this Tuesday (07.12.2021) in the Official Gazette, mention the criteria and procedures that must be observed for the delimitation of the Primary Customs Zones in the Customs Offices of the Interior of the country.

In this regard, it indicates that "the proposed perimeters meet the conditions required for their qualification as a Primary Customs Zone, in accordance with Article 5 of the Customs Code - Law No. 22.415 and its amendments." In turn, it clarifies that the resolution enters into force upon publication in the Official Gazette.

About the Primary Customs Zone

Article 5 of the Customs Code establishes that the Primary Customs Zone is that part of the customs territory authorized for the execution of operations in which special rules apply for the circulation of people and the movement and disposal of goods. It includes premises, facilities, warehouses, squares and other places where these activities are carried out. This physical space is where operations of reception, storage and mobilization of goods are carried out, as well as everything related to foreign trade, where Customs has full control.
