The AFIP ordered the raid of the Simonetta Orsini jewelry store, known as the jewelry store of power. It was in the context of a case of smuggling of high-end watches worth about 6 million dollars.
After an iInvestigation of the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) by Alleged smuggling in the irregular import of high-end watches, the Justice ordered the realization of more than 10 raids linked to the Simonetta Orsini Jewelry, known as the jewelry store of power because it has clients who include politicians, celebrities and judges.
The investigation was initiated by a complaint filed by a third party with the AFIP, detailing irregular operations involving the alleged reshipment of merchandise abroad when in reality these items ended up being sold on the domestic market.
The operation involves watches from the following brands: Ademar Piguet; Vacheron Constantin; Cartier, Jaeguer Lecoultre; Breguet; Lange & Sohne.
The investigation also extends to other major jewelry stores of the group –PS GROUP SA and DAJIJ SA– with the same irregular operation in the import of watches.
Agents from the AFIP and the Legal Accounting department of the Federal Police participated in the operations.
The case is subject to confidentiality.
