2019: There will be a “Federal Registry” for taxpayer registration

-

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) agreed with the provinces to create a “Federal Registry” which will facilitate important procedures for taxpayers.

The single taxpayer registry will unify the registration in one place, through the AFIP website with a tax code. Thus, the participating tax authorities will share the data of taxpayers throughout the country.

Simplification

The new registry will avoid multiple registrations and allow for orderly processing of registrations, cancellations, changes in jurisdiction and regime, as well as any other new developments for taxpayers, who will be able to carry out these procedures in a simpler manner.

This agreement will apply to local taxpayers of the Gross Income Tax and to those who pay taxes under the Multilateral Agreement regime of the jurisdictions that adhere to it.

Its implementation will take place next year in conjunction with the Arbitration Commission of the Multilateral Convention, to which all Argentine provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires are attached.

Federalization

Federal Administrator Leandro Cuccioli shared a working table with provincial and municipal representatives and officials of: the Arbitration Commission, the Center for Subnational Tax Administrations CEATs and the Secretariat for Simplification of the Ministry of Production.

In addition, topics related to the Unified Monotributo, the Judicial Office System (SOJ), the adoption of the “payment in kind” figure by the provinces and the training that AFIP offers to the rest of the tax authorities within the framework of the common actions that the tax authorities develop were discussed.
