Sieca recalls the update of the harmonized system and coding of goods in Central America

The Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) calls on everyone to keep in mind that Changes in regional computer systems to implement the update of the VII Amendment of the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System of the World Customs Organization (WCO) in the Central American Import Tariff (ACI), which will come into force on January 01, 2022.

In order to implement the new adjustments of the Harmonized System, incorporated into the Central American Import Tariff by Resolution No. 450-2021 (COMIECO EX) of July 22, 2021, issued by the Council of Ministers of Economic Integration (COMIECO), SIECA stated that the computer work mentioned in the following will be carried out Plazo:

  • Date: December 31
  • Start Time: 10 pm Guatemala time
  • Ending time: 1 am Guatemala time
  • Maintenance period: 3h
  • Affectation: intermittent access to systems
