By General Resolution 4981/2021, the Federal General Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) has determined that, within the framework of the health emergency and in order to avoid the overload of border crossings and circulation, the suspension of the periods of temporary admission to and from customs territory of rental vehicles, during the validity of the measure established by Administrative Decision No. 2.252/2020 and its amendments.
La regulations, published this Friday (30.04.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette, clarifies that The measure applies to temporary entry or exit permits that were valid as of December 25, 2020.
The decision also applies to private vehicles used for tourism that enter, travel or leave bordering countries or between Mercosur states.
The official text indicates that the General Directorate of Customs and the General Subdirectorate of Systems and Telecommunications will be responsible for providing the necessary IT resources for the implementation of this document.
The provisions of this General Resolution, signed by the head of AFIP, Mercedes Marco del Pont, are of immediate application.
