The General Directorate of Customs (DGA) donated essential merchandise to the provinces for a total of $1.796.310.915,38 in 2022.

This is a procedure carried out within the framework of the 25.603 / 2002, which enabled the regulation of undeclared merchandise, merchandise in arrears or merchandise without a known owner.

Data-driven report

Of the total, and according to official data reported to Customs News, last year it was made available to the provinces from all over the country, the following amount of the goods in question, valued by Customs.

The DGA also detailed that this commodity consisted of construction materials, tools and machinery (51%), food (29%), clothing (7%), electronics (7%), vehicles (3%), electronics (2%), toys and medical supplies (1%), among others.

Thus, it is important to clarify that this task of Customs is managed in a collaborative mode with other State institutions, and is developed within the framework of its essential function of control on international traffic of goods.
