The National Customs Authority (ANA) of Panama, together with the Canadian Border Service, will prepare a proposal for a capacity building project for customs officials related to updating inspection protocols and manuals for cargo, containers, among others.
The idea arose after the Canadian delegation visited for five days several control points where ANA carries out its activities such as ports and the cargo area of the Tocumen International Airport with the aim of verifying the work carried out by the entity's operational team, according to the ANA statement released on Friday (20.01.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX)
This visit also included a meeting with the general director, Tayra Barsallo, along with her technical team, where the objectives of the Invisible Shield project, the implementation of the Foreign Trade and Logistics Technology Portal and the Customs Logistics Integration Program were reported.
This meeting is part of the efforts being made by the current administration with friendly governments to establish cooperation on best practices and exchange information.
