New reference values ​​for lemon and lime exports

The General Directorate of Customs (DGA) updated the reference values ​​for the export of lemons and limes, through the General Resolution 5230/2022.

The regulations, published today (12.07.2022) in the Official Gazette, indicated that said "control is aimed at improving the selectivity system in terms of value, in order to detect deviations from the usual values ​​for identical or similar merchandise."

To reach the new reference values ​​of the merchandise (NCM 0805.50.00)The DGA used various internal and foreign sources of information. It also carried out a documentary analysis and considered the presentations of representative actors in the sector such as the Chamber of Exporters of the Argentine Republic and the Argentine Citrus Federation.

Thus, this Resolution defined a Update of the reference values ​​set last year by the DGA for the export of lfresh lemons and limes, in immediate packaging with a net content greater than 16 kilos.

The export destinations for which the regulations apply are for four groups of countries; in the case of North America, when the merchandise is sold to United States and Canada.

In the case of products exported to the European market, the regulations differentiate between three groups of countries. On the one hand, there is Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine and Slovenia. Meanwhile, the next group consists of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, United Kingdom and Germany. The last European group is made up of Greece, Albania, Macedonia, Serbia, Latvia, Latvia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Moldova, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is important to remember that reference values ​​provide an initial check on declarations to safeguard tax interests and allow for the detection of deviations from the usual values ​​for identical or similar goods.
