By General Resolution 5141/2022 , the General Directorate of Customs announced this Friday (11.02.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) that it resolved a new consultation on the tariff classification of certain merchandise in the Common Nomenclature of MERCOSUR (NCM).
The Ministry noted that, within the framework of the powers conferred by Decree No. 618/1997 and Provision No. 204/2017, it issued specific technical guidelines for merchandise and respective tariff classifications, detailed in the following annex:
These tariff classification resolutions seek to avoid problems generated by incorrect tariff classification of products being marketed. In this way, an accurate classification of goods translates into time savings for foreign trade agents, which implies an improvement in trade facilitation.
