The head of the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP), Florencia Misrahi, held a meeting on Friday (19.04.2024/XNUMX/XNUMX) with Marc Stanley, the United States ambassador to Argentina, to strengthen the first exchange of financial information (FATCA).

«During the meeting, they analyzed the current status of the different bilateral agreements and conventions in force with emphasis on the measures to carry out actions in order to achieve the automatic exchange of information through FATCA. next September", it is stated in a statement released.

"The head of the AFIP described the different actions adopted by the new administration aimed at modernization, simplification, and transparency," the note says.

"He also commented on the assessments they underwent to determine the level of maturity of the organization in the context of international best practices," he added.

According to the same official information, Misrahi reiterated that "aims to strengthen the exchange of information and collaboration with the United States through best practices that allow for the incorporation of more taxpayers and simplify tax administration.”

Meanwhile, "Stanley stressed the importance that the United States places on transparency and the exchange of information," AFIP said.
