Fresh mandarins can use the “Argentine Foods” seal

Producers who comply with the Protocol will be able to count on an additional 0,5% on their export refunds, among other benefits.

The Government published the Resolution No. E 21/2018 in the Official Gazette, which makes official the Quality protocol for the product “fresh mandarins”, which allows interested companies to distinguish that product with the “Argentine Foods, a Natural Choice” Seal.

This initiative establishes that firms that use a minimum percentage of juice of 35%, comply with the requirements corresponding to the "Superior" degree of tolerance of defects, implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), grant traceability to your products and ensure an adequate shelf life, they will be able to access the aforementioned quality seal.

This distinction allows them to obtain a 0,5% additional to the tariff position in Export Refunds; Participate free of charge in one of the annual fairs contemplated by the calendar of the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade, while in the remaining cases they will pay a lower category than that which corresponds to them according to the SEPYME classification.

It is worth noting that professionals from the Undersecretariats of Food and Beverages and Agriculture of the Nation participated in the preparation of the document; from the Regional Foundation for Citrus Health and Quality of Northeast Argentina (FUNDANEA); from the Chamber of Citrus Exporters of Northeast Argentina (CECNEA); from the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA); and from the National Service of Agri-Food Health and Quality (Senasa).
