The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) will accept that those interested in 'making sincere' the cash they have abroad can open their accounts until October 31, while the deposit of funds in banking entities will have as a deadline the November 21th.

The new rule dictated by the AFIP clarifies that October 31, 2016, inclusive, is the deadline to open "Special Accounts" Law No. 27260 - Tax Amnesty Regime” in a financial institution in the country and obtain the CBU of each one of them.
Also will establish that November 21, inclusive, will be the deadline to make the deposit in the bank in which said accounts have been opened, for which the receipt issued by the AFIP and, where applicable, proof of VEP paid must be provided; both duly signed by the declarant.
The banks had requested this sort of extension from the AFIP due to the large number of accounts that were opened at the last minute to carry out this operation.
Interested parties will be able to open accounts until October 31st to deposit cash held abroad, with the sole payment of a 10% penalty.
