The Argentine Association of Fiscal Studies (AAEF) reported that the 12th International Conference on Customs Law The sessions will be 100% virtual, with the participation of international experts, national specialists and academics, as well as representatives of the national Executive Branch and private actors. They will discuss the legal frameworks in customs matters and also the demands of international trade.
The meeting will take place on the days 12 y 13 August upcoming and will be broadcast Live on AAEF (with the advantage that participants from different provinces and countries can attend), whose access to the virtual room will require pre-registration
Business professionals, international representatives and the academic sector will benefit from intensive interactive discussions of relevant topics in the current customs environment.
The event will be presented, from 9 am (Argentina), by Fernando Schettini, President of the Executive Committee and Catalina García Vizcaíno, President of the Scientific Committee of the AAEF.
The authorities will be accompanied at the opening by Francisco Menéndez, vice president of the Executive Committee and the members: Noel Lascano, Harry Schurig, Javier Zunino, María Claudia Daverio, María Gottifredi. Also, the members of the Scientific Committee: Juan C. Bonzón Rafart, Carolina Robiglio, Raúl Bustos Cara, Juan P. Cotter, Pablo Gallegos Fedriani.
In the panel on “Electronic Commerce. Modalities of international exchange”Claus Noceti (President), Harry Schurig (Rapporteur), Ana Pampin (Secretary) and Andrés Rohde Ponce (Mexico), Darío Rajmilovich (Argentina), Flavia Figueredo (Uruguay) and Juan J. Pérez Cotapos (Chile) will participate as panelists.
Another of the topics will be “Current issues in customs matters”, whose presidency will be held by lawyer Lorena Bartomioli; Juan P. Rothschild will be Rapporteur and Juan M. Sánz, Secretary.
This panel will feature Bastiana Locurscio, a lawyer specializing in taxation and public finances, María S. Saladino and Germán Muiño, both in their capacity as officials of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues – General Directorate of Customs. Also speaking will be Guillermo Bormioli, representative of the Ministry of Productive Development, and Rufino Beccar Varela, a lawyer specializing in customs law.
On the second day of the event, there will be a Round Table to discuss “Customs Code. 40th Anniversary of its validity. Prospective analysis. Needs for adaptation. Current issues in customs matters”, whose participants will be Catalina García Vizcaíno as president (one of the great authorities that Argentina has in terms of customs law) and the panelists: Enrique C. Barreira, Raúl González Berro and Germán Pardo Carrero.
The Argentine Association of Fiscal Studies is a private, scientific and independent entity. Since 1953, the Association has been dedicated to developing research on the tax system under the legal, economic and technical-administrative disciplines among its members, graduates of the Faculties of Law and Economic Sciences. The institution has hosted numerous events that certify its broad vocation for international and regional fiscal aspects.
