The World Trade Organization (WTO) has launched a call for applications to participate in the 2022 Young Professionals Programme.
According to the Organization, the program provides qualified candidates with a unique opportunity to improve their skills and knowledge on the WTO and international trade issues.
The opportunity is intended for interested parties who are not older than 32 years old as of January 1, 2022 and come from developing countries and least developed countries who meet the required conditions, to submit their application no later than April 29th 2021. The selected candidates will work in the WTO Secretariat for one year, starting on 1 January 2022.
They stressed that the selected young professionals will be seconded to various divisions of the WTO Secretariat, depending on their qualifications and the needs of the division. They will be able to work in, among others, the following areas: accessions, agriculture, dispute settlement, intellectual property rights, government procurement, competition policy, market access, standards, trade and development, trade and environment, trade in services and investment, trade facilitation, trade policy analysis and trade-related technical assistance.
