The Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA) incorporated the authorization for the importation of Classic Motor Vehicles (VAC) into the National Regime of the Argentine Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCEA), through the General Resolution 5796/2025
The measure, published today (04.12.2025), makes it easier for those wishing to bring vehicles into the country with more than 30 years old and an FOB value equal to or greater than USD 12.000 Those considered “model collectors and/or of historical interest” can manage the exception provided for in Decree No. 110/1999 entirely digitally. The procedure is framed within Resolution No. 24/2025 of the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce and its amendment.
Simplified procedure
With this management, The process is now carried out through the VUCEA from the beginning to its final validationThe Directorate of Evaluation and Industrial Promotion sends the authorization to the General Directorate of Customs “through the Argentine Foreign Trade Single Window Regime (VUCEA)”, using the “LPCO Reception Service” for its “automatic validation in the MALVINA Computer System (SIM)”.
According to the resolution, this implementation was made possible thanks to the joint work of the Special Temporary Executive Unit of the National VUCEA Regime and various technical areas of ARCA, which developed new computer tools and information exchange circuits to expedite the process.
Thus, the tax authority will send the authorization to the implementing authority and the Special Temporary Executive Unit of the VUCEA, "to optimize its control", along with "all the information that the implementing authority deems appropriate", strengthening the traceability and supervision of the process.
The operational guidelines are detailed in the Annex that forms part of the standard.
General Resolution 5796/2025 will come into effect ten business days after its publication in the Official Gazette, reinforcing the digitalization of Argentine foreign trade.
