The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) and the Ministry of Commerce have decided that the evaluation of the Economic and Financial Capacity (CEF) of operators will no longer be an obstacle to the processing of imports.
The decision was announced at the Joint General Resolution 5478/2024, published today (10.01.2024) in the Official Gazette, whose text indicates that the simplification of the Statistical System of Imports is deepened (LOCATIONS) with the aim of ensuring the transparency of foreign trade.
The AFIP stated that with such a measure, which is effective immediately, "the guidelines established by the World Trade Organization (WTO) are guaranteed, reaffirming that discretion will be outside the SEDI. In this way, the System CEF it will work exclusively a statistical effects.«
Commercial Debt Registry
On the other hand, the agency ordered that registration in the Registry of Commercial Debt for Imports with Foreign Suppliers is extended to imports via the regime of courier and Income Statements to Free Zone.
In this context, the deadline for the census is extended until January 24, inclusive.
