The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) will extend the suspension until May 31, inclusive, of the initiation of tax enforcement proceedings and the imposition of precautionary measures for micro and small businesses, as well as taxpayers who carry out critically affected activities, the official agency reported today (29.03.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX).
The decision will be made effective through General Resolution 4953/2021, which will be published tomorrow in the Official Gazette..
The initiative aims to mitigate the economic effects of the pandemic on taxpayers across the country.
The AFIP stated that "will continue with the necessary actions to collect tax revenues owed by those economic sectors that are currently not critically affected«.
In order not to affect the activity of those who have debts and to continue to support the reactivation process, the regulation "limits the scope of the precautionary measures to be adopted in the tax executions promoted."
To this end, "the suspension of embargoes on funds and/or securities of any kind deposited in financial institutions or on accounts receivable for all taxpayers is extended until the end of May," the agency explained.
General Resolution No. 4953 provides for the possibility of requesting measures from the competent judge, which, however, will not be enforced by the tax representative until the deadline for relief measures has expired.
