An intelligence work by Customs detected that an Argentine company under-invoiced 103 exports of pears and apples by more than 95 million pesos, appealing to the financial triangulation to curtail the liquidation of foreign currency in our country.
Although the shipping permits were destined directly for Brazil, The operations were billed to a Uruguayan SRL, which was then billed to the Brazilian importer for a higher amount. Thus, while the total declared in our country was USD 1.296.190,17, the total invoiced upon entry to Brazil amounts to USD 1.930.850,54. The difference of USD 634.660,37 represents an under-invoicing of more than 30%.
The discoveries were made by specialized agents of the General Directorate of Customs-AFIP from the INDIRA system, a computer platform through which the customs of Ecuador, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina exchange information.
As a result, the agency headed by Guillermo Michel filed the corresponding complaint for violation of Article 954 of the Customs Code. The Argentine company could be fined more than 475 million pesos.
