The National Customs Service reported on Monday (27.11.2023) that the servers that support foreign trade operations are operating normally.
“Today the servers are operational, working at 100%,” were the words of the National Director of Customs, Alejandra Arriaza, referring to the interruptions in foreign trade operations that the institution suffered between November 19 and 24.
In this line, the authority valued the efforts that the Service has made “to keep all foreign trade operations operational. Although there were interruptions in the delivery of our service, today we can report that we are operational and without suspensions.”
Regarding this weekend's operations, the National Customs Service reported that the number of electronic procedures, which from Friday 24 to Sunday 26, 19.135 DIN were registered (Imports) and 3.622 DUS (Exports).
"We had a weekend without incidents on our platform, which allowed for a normal flow of import and export operations," said Arriaza.
New platform migration
The National Director also announced that "planning is already underway" for the migration to the cloud of the entire production platform, systems and databases that are currently located on physical servers.
“The IT team at the Service is already working with the supplier company and the migration process is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2024, which will undoubtedly be of great help in stabilizing and strengthening our production platform.”
The implementation of this new platform will require an investment of $1.800 billion pesos over a period of 3 years.
