The General Directorate of Customs (DGA), an agency dependent on the Federal Administration of Public Revenue, increased the reference values for beef exports, through the General Resolution 5044/2021 .
The measure, published this Wednesday (04.08.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX), modified the reference values established in January of this year and updated last May by the DGA, for cuts such as loin, roast, hindquarters and forequarters, among others.
The official text clarifies that the decision of the competent authority in the application of the legislation that regulates customs clearance is aimed at improving the selectivity system in terms of value in order to detect deviations from the usual values for identical or similar merchandise.
The destinations for beef exports for which the reference values apply are: China, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Korea, Philippines and Taiwan.
To arrive at these values, Customs carried out a risk assessment that considered internal and external sources of information that determined the need to update the reference prices for beef exports.
So far, this has already been done for exports of hides and skins, pears, apples, garlic, pork, pear tomatoes, concentrated must, blueberries, powdered milk, onions, potatoes, raisins, sea bass and beef.
The provisions of this General Resolution shall apply from the second administrative business day, inclusive, following its publication in the Official Gazette.
