the national government Ordered a change in the processing regime for automatic and non-automatic import licenses, Provision 38/2021.
The regulations of the Secretariat of Industry, Knowledge Economy and Foreign Trade Management, published this Wednesday (17.11.2021) in the Official Gazette, replaces the Annex XI of Resolution 523/2017 on the import licensing regime.
The measure highlights in its recitals that the implementation of an import licensing system "provides statistical information at general and specific levels" and allows "the identification of disruptive behaviors in foreign trade."
In this regard, the text adds that said substitution is based on the fact that "a series of goods have been identified for which, based on the current economic situation, it is essential to evaluate their respective trade flows, which is why it is advisable to modify Resolution No. 523/17 of the former Secretariat of Commerce and its amendments."
To this end, it has been considered appropriate to carry out a Complete replacement of Annex XI of Resolution No. 523 issued in July 2017.
This measure will come into force from the day 18 2021 November.
