The Argentine Government decided to update the import regime for antique and collector vehicles, through Resolution. 579/2021.
The regulations, published this Wednesday (15.09.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX), indicate in the recitals that it is necessary to introduce increased controls on imports of the same, in order to guarantee greater transparency in operations. Based on these criteria, it is appropriate redetermine the requirements to which the Applications for the Importation of Motor Vehicles Called Collection Model and/or Those of Historical Interest must conform and the procedure that will be given to them.
In this regard, the provision determines that those interested in accessing the exception provided for in section e) of Article 7 of Decree No. 110 dated February 15, 1999, They must submit the “Application for Importation of Motor Vehicles Called Collection Model and/or of Historical Interest”, through the Remote Processing System (TAD) and accompany the documentation listed therein.
Upon presentation, the Import Directorate, dependent on the National Directorate of Commercial Management of the Undersecretariat of Commercial Policy and Management of the Secretariat of Industry, Knowledge Economy and Foreign Trade Management of the Ministry of Productive Development, will evaluate the presentation made within thirty (30) business days.. Once the requirements established by the legal system have been met, the “Certificate of Importation of Motor Vehicles Called Collection Model and/or of Historical Interest” will be issued..
In the event that the submission lacks any of the established requirements, the correction of the same will be requested within a period of ten (10) business days, under penalty of considering it withdrawn due to the mere passage of the period.
Furthermore, It is expected that it will be communicated by the Import Directorate to the Financial Information Unit so that you are aware of the import operation.
On the other hand, the standard regulates the duration of the certificate (180 days) and the subsequent procedure to complete the respective process (1 year), as well as verification of destination for a period of 2 years.
The measure of the Ministry of Productive Development comes into effect immediately.
