A global programme funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and implemented by the World Customs Organization (WCO) provided technical assistance to Bolivian Customs to increase compliance with the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement and the WCO Revised Kyoto Convention.
From September 5 to 9 last, a One-Stop Shop Workshop, La Paz , which aimed to develop capacities on the concept of this trade facilitation tool, implementation practices and challenges that will support Bolivia in its efforts to implement a National Single Window.
The statement explained that the workshop was given to 31 representatives of the Bolivian Customs Administration and other public actors.
He also noted that this activity allowed participants to improve their knowledge of the Single Window. To this end, They learned first-hand about the experiences and implementation practices of the Customs Administrations of Argentina and Mexico.
In addition, the assistance of the WCO team supported participants in identifying next steps and developing a roadmap to implement this important initiative to facilitate international trade.
