The head of the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP), Florencia Misrahi, took office as Argentina's representative at the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT), official sources reported today (27.02.2024/XNUMX/XNUMX).
CIAT, created in 1967, is an international organization that develops activities aimed at promoting international cooperation and the exchange of experiences and information among its members through meetings, tax studies, publications and training. It is currently made up of 42 countries from four continents, 32 of them in the Americas.
The Argentine representative held her first meeting with Márcio Verdi -executive secretary of the international organization-, who confirmed his commitment to ethics, transparency and international cooperation, according to the AFIP statement.

“Our fundamental pillar is the commitment to ethics, transparency and modernization, always promoting the participation of the organization in all relevant issues within the international context,” Misrahi said in the virtual meeting held on Friday, February 23.
One of the most relevant points of this meeting was when both institutions agreed to reaffirm and deepen their ties in pursuit of international cooperation and the exchange of experiences to strengthen the region's tax administrations.
According to AFIP, the Director General of the DGI, Gabriel Ramírez, the Deputy Director General of Technical Institutional Coordination, Renata María Isabel Cascardo, the Deputy Director General of Collection, José Bianchi, and the Director of Institutional Relations, Vanina Nazar, also participated.
