The National Government defined the holidays for tourism purposes de 2024.
The measure was made official through the Decree 106 / 2023, Published today (29.12.2023) in the Official Gazette with the signatures of President Javier Gerardo Milei, Chief of Staff Nicolás Posse, and Minister of the Interior Guillermo Francos.
The decision is based on Law 27.399, which determines in its article 6 that transferable national holidays whose dates coincide with Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be transferred to the previous Monday and those that coincide with Thursdays and Fridays to the following Monday.
In view of this, this regulation allows the Executive Branch to annually establish 3 holidays or non-working days intended to promote tourism activity, which must coincide with Mondays or Fridays.
Thus, the dates of the holidays for tourism purposes next year will be as follows:
- Monday, April 1st
- Friday June 21
- Friday October 11
The measure comes into force on December 30, 2023.
