Uruguayan exports in the month of October 2022 totaled USD 842 million, which represented a year-on-year drop of 6%, official sources reported this Tuesday (02.10.2022).
This reduction is mainly explained by the Lower sales of beef to China (43%), the Uruguay XXI Institute indicated in its foreign trade report. This fall was accompanied by exports of meat by-products, cellulose and wood.
Likewise, the country's investment, export and image promotion agency noted that in the cumulative January-October, Exports of goods (including free trade zones) grew by 27%, totaling US$ 11.262 million.

The main products The top export products of the month were beef (USD 186 million), cellulose (USD 117 million), dairy products (USD 74 million, up 16%), beverage concentrate (USD 55 million, up 4%) and meat by-products (USD 47 million).
Regarding destinations, Brazil maintained its first place in the ranking (21%). China remained in second place in the ranking (16%).
