The National Government made changes to the Export Duty rates for different goods, such as agro-industrial products from regional economies that remain with 0% duties.
This is established by the Decree 1060 / 2020, published this Thursday (31.12.2020), whose text states » that as regards the agro-industrial goods, the potential of certain regional economies in terms of growth in investments, production and exports that will generate job creation directly and indirectly in all provinces of the country was identified in a first review.
According to the regulations » An export duty of zero percent is set for these goods. as a concrete measure to contribute to increasing production and exports, supporting producers and associated value chains and thus recovering historic export levels, promoting the development of the national export industry. This batch includes trout, some sheep and goat products, yerba mate, quinoa, tomatoes, carrots and onions, among others.
The text adds that these goods were also selected based on their low impact on domestic food prices.
The provisions of this Decree will enter into force as of January 1, 2021.
