The Government eliminated export duties for different agro-industrial products from regional economies

The national government eliminated the export duty rate for different goods, mostly agro-industrial and industrial products, from regional economies, through the Decree 410 / 2021.

The measure, published this Monday (28.06.2021/27.541/0) in the Official Gazette, states: “Since the publication of Law XNUMX on Social Solidarity and Productive Reactivation in the Framework of the Public Emergency, the Executive Branch has issued several regulations in which it sought to reduce the rate of the duty, with special attention to the generation of added value in the country. In a first review, the potential of certain regional economies was identified in terms of growth in investments, production and exports with an impact on all provinces of the country and an Export Duty of XNUMX% was set for such goods.”

And he adds: “It is necessary to introduce certain modifications to the provisions of Decree No. 1060/20, always within the margins established in the resource projection of the General Budget of the National Administration for Fiscal Year 2021, approved by Law No. 27.591, where the contribution of Export Duties to fiscal sustainability remains a priority in the design of tax policy. These modifications improve the definitions of the policies contained in the aforementioned decrees.”

Among the tariff items that were reached by the benefit, where the growth of investments, production and exports with an impact on all the provinces of the country were taken into account, are found blanched peanuts, potato, sunflower and rice seeds; oils and juices from various fruits. Furthermore, Live bees, casein and albumin, eggs and pepper, except black and white pepper, which maintain a rate of 4,5%. Finally, other regional productions affected by the measure are: Vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, saffron, turmeric, among other spices.

The provisions of this Decree are effective immediately.
