The Ministry of Economy, through the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce, determined the incorporation of the Products manufactured in Tierra del Fuego are subject to the simplified import regime for small shipmentsthrough Resolution 286 / 2025, published today (18/07/2025) in the Official Gazette.
In this way, the measure establishes what the goods covered by Decree 334/2025, which aims to promote the consumption of industrial products manufactured in the Special Customs Area of the province, facilitating their arrival from the extreme south of the country to the rest of the national territory. Within the framework of this simplified regime, each person may receive up to three (3) units of the same product per calendar year, with a maximum FOB value of 3.000 US dollars per shipment.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce emphasized that this shipping method has no associated tax costs, as the initiative falls under the Industrial Promotional Regime of Law No. 19.640 in force in that province.
Furthermore, products may be sold directly by manufacturing companies within the industrial sub-regime to final consumers on the mainland, which aims to reduce prices and expand access to domestically produced goods.
The list includes a hundred Representative articles from the Tierra del Fuego electronics and white goods industry, such as:
- Televisions and monitors
- Electric shavers and epilators
- air conditioners
- Notebooks, netbooks and tablets
- Coffee makers, microwave ovens and deep fryers
- TV receivers and audio equipment
- Digital cameras and camcorders
- Radio recorders, speakers and electronic clocks
The Secretariat of Industry and Commerce clarifies that All products must have the corresponding accreditation of origin, in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned Law No. 19.640 and Resolution 4712/1980 of the former National Customs Administration.
The measure is already in effect.
