The publishing initiative is driven by the International Academy of Customs Law The International Customs Law Association (ICLA), institutionally defined as “a private, non-profit international association, led by Dr. Andrés Rohde Ponce, dedicated to bringing together the world’s leading legal experts in the field of customs law,” boasts a global membership structured around 100 academic centers. These centers are comprised of renowned academics and professionals whose contributions have been fundamental to the development of the discipline through seminal publications, specialized research, and a highly influential professional practice within the customs legal field.

According to the official statement, the founding year inaugurates “an editorial cycle consisting of three issues”This reflects the project's academic commitment. In this context, it is highlighted that "the quality of the contributions received confirms the relevance of this initiative," with the aim of consolidating itself during 2026 as a benchmark for contemporary customs thought.
