With the support of the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP), the Justice Department dismantled a gang that was engaged in committing fraud with taxpayers' tax data obtained through court records.

The federal judge of Comodoro Rivadavia, Eva Parcio de Seleme, ordered the arrest of all members of this criminal organization, which operated with data from taxpayers from different provinces.

How did the gang operate?
 

The leader of the gang, who operated under the false name Ignacio García Prieto –although his real name was Juan Carlos Rodríguez- communicated with people who had legal complaints for tax or social security debts.
 
Rodríguez He presented himself as an AFIP agent, although he has no employment relationship with the organization, like the rest of the accused.
 
To them offered a “solution,” based on the data that he obtained in court cases.
 
The courts intervened following a complaint filed by a taxpayer in Chubut who received calls from this gang.
 
The judge called on the Federal Police and the AFIP to intervene, which deployed 11 agents who participated in a series of raids carried out this week at the homes of the accused, a bank and an Internet café in the city of Mar del Plata.
