How to study free exports of services with ECLAC

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) offers a free course called “Developing an ecosystem to promote modern services exports", a version taught jointly with the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Researchers and Policy Makers in Services (REDLAS), the Latin American Association of Service Exporters (ALES) and the “Alliances for Democracy and Development with Latin America” (ADELA) Program of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS).

This course will be held between October 2 and November 28, 2023, with the purpose of strengthening the knowledge and capabilities of those who design and manage public policies to improve the ecosystem for promoting exports of modern services, in order to achieve a better international insertion of companies in the sector. It has a duration of 24h and is divided into six modules covering the following topics:

  1. Introduction to international trade in services
  2. Trends affecting modern services
  3. Governance
  4. International promotion
  5. Regulation of international trade in services
  6. Taxes and incentives
