Today (12.04.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX) the Virtual Workshop on Electronic Commerce, dictated by the World Customs Organization (WCO) for the administrations of the Americas and the Caribbean, the Regional Office reported.
Su Vice President, Werner Ovalle Ramirez, welcomed the participants and highlighted the growing need to strengthen staff training in a topic of vital importance such as e-commerce.
“The workshop is a training opportunity for participating countries to improve regional competitiveness, which is the objective of the current Regional Vice-Presidency,” said Werner Ovalle.
He added: “We are a dynamic and entrepreneurial region and together we have been working to be a digital, competitive and integrated region.”
The WCO Workshop on Electronic Commerce thus provides the impetus needed to continue improving border management and promoting trade facilitation in the Latin American region.
