On February 28th, the "Customs-Business Meeting: “Customs Laboratory”. The event is organized by the National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN) of Colombia, and is aimed at citizens and customs users.
The DIAN specified that speakers will address the topic related to “Customs Laboratory”, a fundamental technical instrument to guarantee the country's security. Through its chemical and scientific analysis procedures, the laboratory "allows to efficiently prevent and control the technical smuggling of goods, evasion and the entry into the country of dangerous substances that threaten the environment and public health," he explained.
Along the same lines, the entity indicated that the establishment "is designed to house nine laboratories: industrial, textiles, organic, food, inorganic, metals, genetics, paper and chromatography."
