In Chile, the Regional Customs Directorate of Iquique donated this Thursday (22.12.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) 300 skates for non-profit organizations that work for children and adolescents. The merchandise was seized in El Loa and after a legal process and the respective favorable report, it could be used to support the community, according to a statement.
The document says that the toys were delivered by the Regional Director (s) of the Iquique Customs, Ricardo Aceituno Chau, to the president of the “Cruz del Sur Jaziel Social, Cultural and Sports Group”, Ana Olivares Quiroz; and to the legal representative of the “Semillarbol Social, Cultural and Sports Group”, Gloria Guerra Toro.
This donation will benefit 100 children from the Semillarbol group and 200 from Cruz del Sur Jaziel, who are mostly concentrated in Alto Hospicio, a Chilean commune located in the Province of Iquique, in the Tarapacá Region.
Ricardo Aceituno explained that in the context of the operations and controls carried out by customs officers, there is a variety of merchandise that is seized for different reasons. The vast majority of these items are auctioned, others are destroyed and in duly founded cases they can be donated. He added: “These skates remained in the possession of the treasury through a resolution and could be donated, which fills us with joy and happiness, even more so on these very special dates.”
