-

Foreign Ministers Ernesto Araujo of Brazil and Antonio Rivas of Paraguay began a round of talks in Asunción on Monday (03.02.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX) in which they will discuss bilateral and regional issues, the Paraguayan Foreign Ministry reported.

Diplomats will seek to promote cooperation in infrastructure, security and production between both countries; they will also analyze the Situation of the Southern Common Market (Mercosur).

Among the topics that both foreign ministers will discuss are the preparations for the signing of the Automotive Agreement, trade, and also Annex C of the Itaipú Agreement, explained the head of Paraguayan Diplomacy.

The visit of the Brazilian foreign minister, announced last week by Rivas, is important, given that Brazil is one of Paraguay's main trading partners, the local foreign ministry recalled.

According to official data, trade in 2018 amounted to four billion dollars, an increase of 8,6 percent compared to 2017.
