Argentina's foreign trade continues to struggle, registering a deficit of USD 2023 million in July 649, according to a report by the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC) on Tuesday (22.08.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX).

Within exports, all items decreased except for fuel and energy, which increased by 17,6%. Primary products fell by 41,3%; agricultural manufactures by 26,1% and industrial manufactures by 3,3%.
Among imports, at the level of economic use Imports of passenger motor vehicles fell by 78,5%; fuels and lubricants by 60,7%; consumer goods by 5,0%; and intermediate goods by 2,1%. However, there were increases in parts and accessories for capital goods, a category that grew by 7,1%, and capital goods, with an increase of 1,9%.
According to INDEC, quantities and prices were negative in July 2023, however the quantity effect predominated over the price effect, based on the trend observed in the period December 2022 – June 2023. This is the 11th month in which the amounts have been falling.
