-

The head of the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP), Alberto Abad, announced this Monday that Tax collection in September amounted to $168.317 billion, 30 percent more than the same month last year.

Thus, it has accumulated six consecutive months with an increase below inflation in regards to taxes on national production; and also much lower than the variation in the exchange rate, in the case of Customs charges for foreign trade.

In the cumulative total of the first nine months Tax revenues amounted to $1.455.142,6 million, just 28% more than in the same period of the previous yearDuring that period, inflation estimated by market consensus was just over 40% and the official exchange rate jumped almost 64 percent.

Despite this performance, The economic team is confident of substantially improving the rate of collection in the coming months, starting with the reactivation which is already noticeable in some sectors such as the automotive market and the decrease in informality, with the whitewash that expires at the end of March next year.
