The National Government decided to extend for four more years the validity of the Executive Unit of the Argentine Foreign Trade Single Window Regime (VUCEA), a decentralized body within the scope of the current Ministry of Productive Development.
This was established by the Administrative Decision 580/2021 which was published on Monday (14.06.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette, with the signature of the Chief of Staff Santiago Cafiero and the Minister of Productive Development, Matías Kulfas.
Among the arguments of the official measure, it was indicated that "For operational reasons, it has not been possible to carry out all the actions necessary to implement the aforementioned National Regime, and in order to ensure its compliance, it is necessary to extend its validity, as well as the extra-level positions.«.
It should be noted that in the year 2016 , the Government established the National Single Window Regime for Foreign Trade Argentinean with the purpose of systematizing the administrative procedures and formalities linked to the country's export and import activities, through Decree 1079.
To carry out this action, in the year 2017 , the Executive Unit of the Foreign Trade Single Window Regime Argentine within the scope of the former Secretariat of Commerce of the then Ministry of Production, through Decree 416, which indicates that this Executive Unit would be dissolved once it has fulfilled the objective for which it was created, with the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers determining the maximum term of validity (four years).
With this Administrative Decision, This period is extended so that the decentralized body can continue with the tasks of implementation and operation of the Single Foreign Trade Window., defined by the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and e-Business (UN//CEFACT) as a trade facilitation tool that involves digitally optimizing and unifying information and documentation to comply with all import, export and customs transit procedures, and in which permits for commercial operations must be submitted only once (preferably in electronic format).
Currently, the exercise of the functions of the Foreign Trade Single Window and its Executive Unit is led by the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade Policy and Management of the Secretariat of Industry, Knowledge Economy and Foreign Trade Management of the Ministry of Productive Development.
