Argentina creates certification for knowledge economy companies

The Ministry of Economy published this Wednesday (21.12.2022) Resolution 292/2022 that creates the "Certification of Argentine companies in the knowledge economy».

The regulation, published in the Official Gazette, states that the objective of the measure is to "promote the consolidation" of companies operating in this sector, one of the most dynamic in the national economy.

According to official data, the knowledge economy generates exports worth USD 6.400 billion in Argentina, second only to the soybean complex and the automotive industry. It employs 450.000 people.

Therefore, this Resolution indicates that Those interested in accessing this certificate may submit their applications from the day after its publication, that is, tomorrow (22.12.2022) to the Certification application authority, which is the Undersecretariat for Financing and Regulation of the Knowledge Economy.

The regulations recall that the activities of the Knowledge Economy recognized in Article 2 of Law No. 27.506 and its amendment, "have been established as cornerstones of the national productive system, by enabling the obtaining of goods, provision of services and/or process improvements, which contribute to the consolidation and strengthening of the Argentine economy."
